Takoboto is an offline Japanese-English, English-Japanese dictionary and Japanese language learning tool. It includes translations of some words in other languages as well and displays example sentences, kanji information and conjugated forms for each word.The words can be searched using kanji, kana, romaji or latin alphabets. Full sentences and conjugated forms are also recognized. None of your other files or photos are accessed.Network Connection Permission is used to send your contributions to takoboto.jp if you do so in the app, download language translations if you select them in settings or connect to the cloud service for subscribed users. The pitch accent feature is incomplete. In the search results, there are pitch accent marks for "falling tone" and "steady tone" but not "rising tone". This could be fixed by adding a "r" shaped bracket above the syllable after the rise, or a "J" shaped one under the syllable before the rise. Great app.

I liked this app for many reasons, one of them being able to export my word lists ti anki. But this feature has been removed recently. I hope we get it back soon, I don't have time to manually input all my vocab into anki

Love it! Grammar section is amazing, love how kanji strokes are presented (even with the dot to indicate where to begin the stroke from). And you can create your own word lists. Been a user for a few years ❤️
